You can find a home close-in to work in Plano and local hot spots and find an older fixer-upper (nearly all homes are going to be fixer-uppers), or in rare events even find a new and close home, but at a price premium. It really comes down to family, schools, if you have children, then lifestyle and commute times if school districts and suburbia are not a concern.
