Toyota Relocation Home Buyers, How FAR OUT is TOO Far?

Well, you do have choices. You can find a home close-in to work in Plano and local hot spots and find an older fixer-upper (nearly all homes are going to be fixer-uppers), or in rare events even find a new and close home, but at a price premium. It really comes down to family, schools, if you have children, then lifestyle and commute times if school districts and suburbia are not a concern. If you are in the latter group, and having no yard is an option, there are super cool PATIO Homes, Condos and Town-home choices that allow you to come and go with next to no external maintenance. Sure you can rent, but the problem with renting is that you can't replace the TIME you lose by putting off the underlying task of needing to pay off a home before you hit 65.
Debt Free, Free from Debt, or Freedom. How Do You Define This?
Debt FREE, is certainly a term of art, perhaps even an elusive goal, but if you think about it, FREE can only happen when you're not shackled by debts. With housing, every dollar you pay down, gets you closer to that day, when you can burn your mortgage. Like any journey, if you don't take the first step, then the whole journey remains remains ahead of you.
